Eating and living vegan is getting much easier, as the mass movement of ethically-minded people gathers pace across the globe – all connected by the internet.
This process of expansion has brought both challenges and opportunities, from misinformation and pushback on health issues to new business opportunities and exciting products.
One company that has made solid headway in satisfying the market need for vegan products is Vegancuts, a subscription box service that celebrates the diversity of the vegan lifestyle by delivering high-quality vegan products to your doorstep.
In this post, I take a deep dive on Vegancuts from my personal experience. I put the company under the microscope and take a peak inside the subscription boxes, marketplace, and pricing. I even cover shipping and refunds, too.
What is Vegancuts?
Vegancuts is a company that offers vegan food, beauty, and personal care items in a monthly subscription box, providing customers with a way to discover new and exciting vegan products, at a hugely discounted rate.
Vegancuts has different subscription plans for their monthly boxes, which include the Snack Box, Beauty Box, and currently a Chocolate Box! Prices start at $24.95 per month.
They also sell individual products on their website, such as food, beauty and personal care items.
The Mission
The company focus is on broadening people's horizons as to the breathe of vegan-cruelty-free products on the market, and giving customers a chance to try new products at a fraction of the cost.
The team have created a full-circle lifestyle model that provides both information and products to help people along in their vegan journey. This includes an extensive blog that covers everything from recipes to tips on beauty and lifestyle hacks.
Helping the Animals
Vegancuts doesn't just walk the vegan walk, the company walks the talk, too.
Each month, a percentage of the sales revenue from the subscription boxes is donated to an animal sanctuary. Past donations have been made to donkey and wolf sanctuaries and tortoise rescue.

The Products
Our knowledgeable box curators search every corner of the vegan world to discover the most exciting new products from new and established brands. They thoroughly examine ingredients, test all products and carefully craft each box to deliver an unboxing experience that will delight you.
Vegancuts runs a monthly delivery system of Snack, Beauty, and Chocolate boxes. Corporate boxes are also available.
This works in the same way as many other subscription services: you pay a monthly fee and the box is delivered to your doorstep. Surprise!
The principal advantage of the Vegancuts model is two-fold:
- The goods supplied are often new releases before they are available in shops. This is obviously a massive boon to those of us who like new ideas and flavors.
- The goods are guaranteed to be ethically-sourced, vegan, and quite often things you'd never have otherwise discovered.
The subscription service offers 3 main box options, as detailed below:
1. The Snack Box
From avocado chips and hummus crackers to unique nut butters and chocolate, and healthy options like dried tropical fruit, the Vegancuts Snack Box is your monthly delivery of the best vegan snacks, meal items, and drinks on the market.
Every month the team searches for new trends and product releases that provide a tasty, cruelty-free experience straight to your door.
Chris, our expert Snack Box curator, endlessly searches the vegan world for new vegan snack ideas, stays on the cutting edge of the latest vegan news and trends, and aims to make your monthly snack box an unforgettable experience free from harm to animals.
Each month, you'll receive at least 10 sweet and savory vegan snacks to make it easy to discover the best in plant-based living.
2. The Beauty Box
How many of us have suffered the indignity of purchasing skin care products only to discover subsequently that, alas, the producer was a subsidiary of a company that engages in animal testing?
Vegancuts helps you avoid this horror with products from amazing brands like GlamNatural, Pangea Organics and Pacifica, among many others.
Each month you'll receive a surprise mix of 4 or more deluxe or full-size luxurious vegan skin care and body care products that treat your outside as good as you treat your inside. Makeup is not included.
Natural and Kind to Your Skin
The box includes only cruelty-free and conscious brands that are paraben-free and free of harmful chemicals. If you are allergen to specific allergens in beauty products, here's what you won't find, just so you can be sure:
- BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) and BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluen): Often in lipsticks and moisturizers, BHA and BHT, if used in large amounts over a long period of time is linked to a variety of health issues.
- Coal Tar Dyes: Often found in hair dyes or lipstick, coal tar dyes are derived from petroleum.
- DEA (Diethanolamine): DEA is often used to make cosmetics creamy or lather and commonly found in cleansers, shampoos, soaps, etc. It can be very irritating on the skin.
- DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate): Most commonly used in nail polish to stop it from becoming brittle, DBP has been linked to hormonal disruption.
- Formaldehyde-Releasing Preservatives: This increases the shelf life of products but is toxic.
- Parabens: I'm sure you've heard of these. Used to preserve makeup and skin care products, but some types have been linked to hormonal disruption and cellular damage.
- Parfum/Fragrance: No synthetic fragrances.
- PEG Compounds: Mostly used as a thickener in cream-based cosmetics, PEG compounds are well known skin irritants.
- Petrolatum: Petrolium jelly is used in hair, lip and moisturizers to add shine or act as a moisture barrier. These can also irritate the skin and they mostly just sit on top of the skin, not allowing helpful ingredients to be absorbed.
- Siloxanes: These are mostly found in hair products and deodorants.
- SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate): This foaming agent is in everything. It is often be contaminated with harsh chemicals that are known carcinogens.
- Triclosan: This is an antibacterial used in deodorants, cleansers, hand sanitizers, but it can be very harsh on the skin and kill off your good skin bacteria.
3. Corporate Boxes
Whether you’re gifting in-office or work-from-home employees, the Vegancuts corporate boxes contain premium high-quality products that truly deserve a place in every home or office.
Being vegan means they are naturally inclusive to most employee dietary needs and preferences.
Each carefully curated gift box contains clean, cruelty-free, gender-neutral products designed to uplift, nourish, and have your employees feeling incredible. You can choose to give the Corporate Beauty Box or Snack Box as a one-time gift,
Vegancuts Marketplace
The marketplace is the Vegancuts online store.
Each product is subject to rigorous evaluation before being listed. This ensures that not only the ingredients and manufacturing process is truly vegan and cruelty free but that the products are of high quality and worthy of being part of your lifestyle.
The marketplace covers food, beauty, and lifestyle products. I might add that this is also a good place to evaluate the value you're getting with your monthly subscription box. More often that not you'll find that it does pay to have a subscription.

Vegancuts Pricing & Shipping
USA:
- Monthly: $27.95
- 3 months: $77.85
- 6 months: $149.70 (save $18)
Shipping
- Canada prices have a $6.95/mo USD shipping surcharge. Other international plans have a $14.95/mo shipping surcharge.
The 6-month option is obviously the biggest outlay but it's a great saving. You almost get a month free.
I think these boxes are a great birthday or Christmas gift for a loved one, because it means getting a surprise each month for half the year, or just 3 months whichever you choose.
Who doesn't love snack surprises? And the majority of man and women would appreciate a beauty box!
Cancelling a Subscription & Refund Policy
If you want to cancel a subscription, you'll need to do so before the 10th of the month. You'll automatically be billed on the 9th of each month. For example, if you sign up for the September box on September 12th, you'll get your first box in September and be billed for your second box on October 10th, third box on November 10th, etc.
In short, if you cancel on the 10th, it's too late because you will have been billed and will receive that month's box, so it is best to do so by the 9th to be sure it gets processed.
Vegancuts does not refund subscription charges once they have been paid. This is because even if your box hasn't shipped the shipping process has already begun.
If you have a 12-month subscription and you cancel on month 8, you won't be billed again, but you will not receive a refund. Your subscription will run as normal until you've received all 12 months – but your subscription will not renew. The same goes for 3 and 6-month subscriptions.
Vegancuts, In Summary
I've enjoyed a number of snack boxes myself, and gifted a Beauty Box for my wife for her birthday.
My daughter loves the snack boxes, and the element of surprise that comes with one landing on the doorstep. No matter how advanced technology has become, there's nothing quite like getting a surprise through the post.
However, I would say that this is a luxury service, certainly for the average person. Indeed, most subscription box services of this nature are.
I say that because the products you receive might not be products you'd have gone out and bought yourself. Like me, you probably work to a budget each month, and many organic, vegan-branded products tend to be on the expensive side and fall outside of your normal spend.
What I will say, though, is that it is good value for money. Your box will be worth at least $60, sometimes as much as $80, so it's worth it. Moreover, you are supporting ethical brands, too.
At the end of the day it's fun. It's about discovery, and you get to spoil yourself at a discounted price. And, as previously mentioned, these boxes make fantastic gifts, especially for close friends and family.

What a great service! Yeah, it’s hard to get vegan food (that you actually know is vegan) at the grocery store. This seems like a great way to kickstart your vegan meals.

I subscribe to Vegan Cuts Beauty Box and I am very happy with what I have received. The value of the items adds up to more than the monthly $19 fee and it is a bit like Christmas every month when the box arrives. It gives you a chance to try out new products that you may not have ever heard of and it promotes cruelty free vegan businesses. I don’t get the snack box, only because I have too many allergies/dietary restrictions, otherwise I would get it as well.
